The Batavia Hockey team defeated Amherst in the consolation round of their Holiday Tournament by a final score of 9-5. In total, six players scored for the Devils, highlighted by the performance of Jake Kasmarek who recorded a hat trick.
Also putting forth a quality game for Batavia were Josh Hylkema (5 assists, 2 goals), and Sam Sallome (2 assists, 1 goal). The Ice Devils put 65 shots on net throughout the night, wearing away at the Amherst defense with regularity, and also played well defensively – giving up just 14 shots. Second-time net minder Jake Cryer stopped 9 of them on the night.
